@liveguns while i agree with your sentiment, “we” had a republic and it lasted less than 80 years. Republics don’t work any better. The constitution was violated before the ink was even dry. Government is only the the most successful gang in any geographical area. The only way human interaction works is without coercion, without violence.

What America needs to do is go back to being a Republic that follows the rule of law. You see America no longer followers their own law or international law. We seen it with the assassination of bin laden and this alwaki guy. we see it with the undeclared acts of war against Pakistan and Yemen. This is all against American and international law. I completely disagree. Democracy’s don’t work and here’s an example of why. The masses are easily lied to and persuaded.
You know, Americans supported going to war in Afghanistan ( Iraq too ? ). If they were to have held a referendum Americans would have voted yes to go to war there.
All it would take is another false flag, some fake evidence pointing at Iran and once again Americans would break the law and vote a majority to go to war with Iran.

Once the State has softened it’s opposition, via. it’s operatives, and a set of passive ‘demands’ are reached through a ‘consensus’, the State will comply, happily, while faking a demeanour of defeat that makes the people feel like they have made a legitimate change– everyone wins… But a strategy like that will only work if the majority in the ‘revolution’ is weak minded. I hope most of the people are just as clever and informed as they are angry.
And into the confusion of minds that haven’t been made up yet, the State will insert it’s operatives– very confident, young and trendy, persuasuve people– to take the lead, to chant meaningless slogans, and to dissuade a lot of the uncertain people away from realizing what the true issues are.
The State will quickly activate a ‘revolution’ when it realizes most people are inevitably about to do it anyway. In doing so, it gets the people on the streets prematurely, without a ubiqutous set of convictions; and instead of it being a quick and decisive means toward change, which it could be, it becomes a very large gathering of slow discussions and arguments about what exactly should be done, or why exactly they are even there in the first place.
